Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum

The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum offers the nation's most complete collection of Chesapeake Bay artifacts, visual arts, books, and indigenous water craft. Once the site of a busy complex of seafood packing houses, docks, and work boats, the museum's 18-acre waterfront campus is also home to the historic Hooper Strait Lighthouse. Exhibitions, public programs, and a working boat yard cover the full range of Chesapeake Bay maritime history and culture. The Museum Store, located next to the Museum entrance, offers an extensive collection of Chesapeake Bay books and maps. The museum is open year- round: May to October, 9 am - 5 pm; November to April, 10 am - 4 pm. 410-745-6088

Academy Art Museum

The Academy Art Museum, founded in 1958, is one of Easton’s historic landmarks housing a permanent collection that includes important paintings by Gene Davis and Anne Truitt, among others. Professional relationships with the National Gallery of Art, Guggenheim Museum and other noted institutions enable the museum to present exceptional exhibitions on a regular basis. The museum welcomes more than 50,000 visitors annually for its exhibitions, concerts, lectures, educational programs, and visual and performing arts classes. Phillips Wharf Environmental Center

Phillips Wharf Environmental Center provides adults and children alike with the opportunity to see, touch and learn about some of the inhabitants of the Chesapeake Bay. Visitors learn about the history of the Chesapeake Bay from the time of Captain John Smith to the present as well as the environmental, scientific and commercial importance of this productive estuary.
